About

Ever notice you spend a lot of your time with your body doing one thing but your mind being someplace else? Ever wish you could find a way to re-balance, to re-connect with yourself, to be more present in your life?

Mindfulness is a way of approaching daily life that involves opening up to what is actually going on. It offers us the opportunity to navigate our lives with perspective and wisdom rather than being driven by our thoughts, emotions and physical sensations.

Mindfulness means paying attention - bringing our natural capacity for awareness - to what is going on around us and in our bodies, hearts and minds. In practicing mindfulness we attend to our sensations, thoughts and emotionas as they arise with kindness and curiosity - letting fo of any judgements or criticismz we have about them.

In this class we will practice simple mindfulness and meditation techniques, learn about recent findings in body-mind medicine and experiment with cultivating mindfulness in our daily lives. This class is offered at no charge.

As a participant you will be asked to attend all 4 classes and to commit to 10 minutes per day to practicing techniques.
